Don’t Pick a Lemon on Tuesday

I received a recorded message from Bill Cosby stating that I would not be voting on Tuesday, September 13. His source is unknown , by me, but his message is correct. I will not be voting on Tuesday. To be honest, I have fled plantation politics. Stated differently, I am a political fugitive.
Political hustlers have made voting a political charade and plantation politics is a slap in the face to our ancestors like Fannie Lou Hamer, Henry T and Henrietta Moore, Medgar Evers, Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. and Malcolm X. They were not media addicts and they refused to pimp the pain and suffering of the Black masses for personal gains.
When I turned on talk radio on Sunday, I knew that it would be a rehashing of Amos ‘n’ Andy and its supporting cast. Most of the casts, on the various programs, were not in the Deep South during the 1960’s openly challenging white supremacy. Most of the persons allowed to appear in radio studios in New York City are beneficiaries of plantation politics.
Councilman Charles Barron appeared on Imhotep Gary Byrd’s Program to complain about political divisions in the Black community. Rev. Al Sharpton is supporting Fernando Ferrer who believes that cops are licensed to “coon” hunt. Councilmen Al Vann and Larry Seabrook are endorsing Council Speaker Guifford Miller. Barron is supporting Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields.
Interestingly, no mayoral candidate has a Black agenda even though Blacks constitute the largest ethnic group in the city. Coupled with the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Blacks have sown their political poison for their own demise. This legislation was designed to create Black oathtakers and, therefore, plantation overseers. To ensure our continued enslavement, white supremacists designed a system that would allow us to finance our own oppression.
The antidote to this system would be a call by all Black leaders for a national boycott of the Fortune 500 and the establishment of an independent political party to solely address the concerns and needs of persons of African ancestry. No nationally-prominent Black leader or minister can endorse this plan. They are allowed to talk loud and say nothing only because this impresses the Black masses.
On the Republican side, Barron complained about Revs. Calvin Butts, Floyd Flake and A. R. Bernard endorsing the mayoral incumbent, Michael Bloomberg. White slaveowners created the Negro preacher to stupefy and mystify enslaved Africans. The faith-based initiative (FBI) was created to buttress the Black church.
While whites are allowed to practice religions according to their consciences, a state religion was established for Blacks. Uncle Sam is its spiritual head. White sinners, like “Slick Willie,” are allowed to hoist Black pulpits to make political sermons despite the wall between church and state. Many of these churches display the American Flag.
On the eve of a primary, the Black community is in political disarray. The Black community is irreparably divided and Black leaders are engaged in political sniping even though no Black agenda is in existence. These divisions, therefore, are along commercial lines. When I suggested a political convention two years ago to address the presidential campaign and the NYC mayoralty, it fell on deaf ears. A political convention is where a political debate is expected.
Instead, we are required to air our dirty laundry before an invited audience of the white media. No forum exists for political dissent. I find it interesting that no member of the listening audience was allowed to call in to “Sharptalk” to chastise the culprits.
Yet, when anyone has the audacity to criticize Judas goats, he or she is placed in exile by these traitors. Our conduct, in following these Judas goats, is unethical and unprincipled. We are mortgaging the future of our children and will be leaving them without a legacy.
This conduct will result, soon, in a replay of New Orleans in the tri-state area. It will be too late to correct our wicked ways and acknowledge that we have been had, that is, those Blacks who are defending Judas goats. Our ancestors are displeased.
Black leaders went to Louisiana belatedly to provide media commentary for CNN and Fox Cable News rather than provide leadership and assistance for the hurricane victims. Where do Blacks go from here? No one has an immediate answer. Nonetheless, Black leaders are planning to pick Black pockets and, now, are using Hurricane Katrina as a pretext.
Rev. Sharpton is using the mock demonstrations at police headquarters as the litmus test for endorsing a mayoral candidate. His preference is Fernando Ferrer who consented to a pre-arranged, mock arrest with the NYPD. These staged protests were part of a full-scale pacification program after the state-sponsored assassination of Amadou Diallo.
No Black leader, engaged in the pacification program, would endorse an economic boycott in order to bring the city down to its knees. One prominent Black minister was caught engaging in sabotage while claiming, only on Black radio, that he was in favor of the boycott. This is his modus operandi. His fingerprints were all over dismantling the Freedom Party in 1994.
Kwame Ture asked me, before his transition, to provide political education for our people. Political education would mean that Blacks recognize the need for an independent, third party to address Black needs. Political education would also mean supporting a candidate with a Black agenda listed on a website or published and disseminated to the Black community.
Those Blacks who lack a political education will be at the polls on Tuesday putting the cart before the horse. Before you sign a promissory note for a car, for example, you read the contract. If you are prevented from reading the contract, you will leave the car in the showroom.
The same conduct applies to politics. No agenda! No vote! These Black leaders, who are pushing mayoral candidates, are used car salesmen. They are encouraging political suckers to go to the polls. As we elect more self-hating Negroes to political offices, our condition is getting worse.
The same reasoning should apply to Hurricane Katrina. You should go to the website of your favorite Black leader and read about his or her relief plan for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the emergency preparedness plan for the tri-state area. You will need magnifying glasses, of course. Do you expect to find leaders in television studios or in a “War Room?”
I have repeatedly called on Rev. Sharpton to debate me in a large forum. He will debate presidential candidates. He regularly appears on Fox Cable Network to debate white clowns. Yet, he refuses to debate me. If anyone should debate Rev. Sharpton, I am that person.
He is being paid to cause political confusion in the Black community. The last time I checked, Rev. Sharpton would be in a prison if I had not stepped up to the plate in 1989 at great damage to my family. Then, Blacks were of the view that he could effectively express the pain and suffering of the Black masses without compromise. We were wrong.
No current supporter of Rev. Sharpton was present in 1989 when his life was on the line. I know his history, and, taken in context and in hindsight, I am unable to quarrel with the allegation that Rev. Sharpton is a fraud. If he refuses to debate me in the Black community, it will only allow him to continue muddying the political waters. Time is of the essence. His recourse is to get right or stop being wrong.
Black people do not need to put another Mayor Wilson Goode or Mayor Ray Nagin in city hall. The choices on September 13 and November 1 fit their common profiles. The major Democratic candidates have a history of working in political brothels.
For November, we must find a write-in candidate for the mayoralty who will be accountable to the Black community and not, in any way, connected to the Democratic Party, the Republican Party or any pre-approved third party.
With sufficient resources and cutting-edge brainpower, we can upset America and Wall Street in November 2005. It starts with a political convention forthwith!
