Critical Thinking and Electoral Politics
If you are an avid reader of the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times et. al you would have had to observe that there is an editorial section in the newspapers. It is the newspaper’s propaganda section. This means that leading newspaper is part of the country’s war machine.
Politics is about mind control. Newspapers steer people in a certain direction and it is highly-profitable to control minds. In Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” it is said that the first stage of warfare is propaganda. This fits in with Steven Biko’s analysis: “The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor are the minds of the oppressed.”
If you control the way a people think, you will also control the way a people will vote. Once the United States developed its propaganda machinery, it began to loosen the obstacles to voting. Of course, the first guinea pigs were Black males. Their right to vote, however, was accompanied by white terrorism.
The next class of eligible voters were women. This happened in 1920. By this time, white women had hooked up with the KKK and other terrorist groups to keep Black men in check. The convenient weapon was the charge of rape. This charge would give rise to summary and ceremonial “justice.”
By 1965, the net had been widened to include Latinos, Asians, Indians and other groups. The propaganda machinery was operating at full throttle. Since 1965, for example, as Blacks have put more Black faces into elective offices our conditions have worsened. “Black faces in high places” is dangerous politics.
It is not surprising that many of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s female voters have elected to either support Sen. John McCain or boycott November 4. While women, generally, have been at war with Black men since 1870. Frederick Douglass’s support for women’s suffrage at Seneca Falls was of no moment.
Instead of blaming the white man, they went after the Black man for lacking any skills of governance. Clinton inherited her role from her ancestors. Biden got in trouble with women’s groups during the Anita Hill hearings. He is now trying to make amends.
Black newspapers can ill-afford to pay analysts to regularly write article in their newspapers which would comport with high research and writing standards. Blacks refuse to finance think tanks which can do the critical research for Black survival. This provides a void for white supremacy to continue to control Black thought.
This charge of Obama’s lack of experience has been percolating for some time without any response from the Black side. Whites know better but they will remain quiet. If no good Samaritan shows up for Black people, the white lie will become the Black truth. Blacks will finance their oppression but they refuse to finance their liberation. They will await a good Samaritan.
Blacks will yank any critical analysis from a good Samaritans and then throw the good Samaritan under the bus. Our reasoning is just as bad as white racists who would prefer to go bankrupt as a nation rather than see a Black family occupy the White House.
