New Venue for Freedom Party
For the next two days, August 14 and 15, the Freedom Party will also be cleaning and receiving independent nominating petitions in Manhattan at Friendly Hands Ministry, 225-41 East 118th Street (2nd and 3rd Aves.) in East Harlem from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.each day. This location is convenient for persons living in Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester, Rockland and beyond.
The Freedom Party is fortunate to have a professional team to clean up petitions. This can also reduce the rule of thumb from 3:1 to 2:1 or less to secure ballot status. By 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, the Freedom Party should have the necessary volume of signatures especially if a team works "Harlem Week" on this Saturday and Sunday particularly in the vicinity of 135th Street and Malcolm X Blvd.
The teams organized this past Wednesday at the UAM Forum to collect petitions this weekend should contact Sis. Butts immediately. In search of signatures, "Harlem Week" is an ideal venue. At the end of Saturday and before 8:00 p.m., the petitions can be delivered to friendly Hands Ministry, 225-41 East 118th Street. The same applies for Sunday. Each night, the community center will close at 8:00 p.m.
Patience can lead us to victory. It is a first time for Blacks and there will be wrinkles. This new venue, over the next two days, will certainly iron out many wrinkles. Stated another way, we have waited one hundred and forty years for some semblance of political freedom in this country.
The Freedom Party is thankful to Ed Davila for expeditiously executing his assignment of securing this second location within the past twenty-four hours.
