Kerry Wins the White House?
It would be foolhardy to predict the true winner of the 2004 presidential sweepstakes unless you have secured inside information or if you are a member of this nation’s landlords and bondholders who have already crowned the next president of the United States. The person chose to steer the U.S.S. America is too risky to be put in the hands of the masses.
The trick is to brainwash the masses. This is being done through polling. By the pollsters claiming that the two major presidential candidates are running neck-to-neck or within the margin of error, the vote can be tampered with easily. The economic stakeholders can easily flip the switch and arbitrarily announce that either President-select George W. Bush or Sen. John Kerry is the next occupant of the White House.
Neither candidate will do any great damage to the “Invisible Hand.” Both are cousins and members of Skull and Bones. This is somewhat reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt and FDR. Both Bush and Kerry agree on the fundamental aspects of the major issues. The difference is in style and not substance.
Of course, there are indicators that suggest a Kerry victory. Oil prices are one of those indicators. Oil prices in 1976, 1980 and 1992 were on the rise and the incumbents were booted out of the White House. As far as oil prices are concerned, history is repeating itself this year. The nod should go to Kerry. Losses on the battlefield also call for change. See Vietnam –1968.
The Democrats, including Kerry, should also be jumping for joy over the Boston Red Sox reversing the Curse of the Bambino which started in 1918. Before 1918, the Red Sox won twice in the year of a presidential election. Each time, the Democrats won the presidential sweepstakes.
Bush 43 also has a few things going for himself. First, he is an inveterate, kleptomaniac. Second, he has the backing of the Supremes and this bodes well if the election is disputed and goes to the courts. Finally, if there is a tie in the Electoral College, the Republicans will decide the election in the House of Representatives.
