A Birth of a Political Party

Jesse James, a member of the Confederate States of America, is credited with conducting the first train heist in the United States. An outlaw's tactic was to derail a train. This happened on Monday. A train in front of the "Freedom Train Express" had been derailed.

Councilman Charles Barron had to mount a fast horse to the Board of Elections in Albany. Sister Eva Doyle, the lieutenant gubernatorial candidate for the Freedom Party, was already in Albany when he got there. They were able to file the statewide petitions at 4:50 p.m. History was in the making. Our revered ancestors were able to guide the passengers on the "Freedom Party Express" past danger.

The Freedom Party will hold its first rally, after filing petitions for ballot status in Albany, at the UAM forum, Elks Plaza, 1068 Harriet Tubman (Fulton Street) nr. Classon Ave. in Brooklyn on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. It will also be a belated birthday salute to Hon. Marcus Garvey whose birthday was August 17. I am looking forward to honoring the UNIA and celebrating the birth of the Freedom Party.

Thousands of persons had to "labor" to bring about the birth of the Freedom Party. It was a "bottom to top" approach. Like in a vehicle, there were thousands of indispensable parts. A battery cable is just as important as the motor. Nothing would have been possible if 43,500 registered voters had failed or refused to sign petitions. This is the lesson that we must remember and internalize for November 2, 2010 and beyond.
